Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Ali Khatib, the vice-chairman of The Supreme Islamic Shi'a Council of Lebanon, on Sunday evening in a meeting with Ayatollah Arafi, head of Iran’s seminary, stated that Iran had the legitimate right to respond to the usurper Israeli regime, and that the Islamic Republic of Iran proved to the world that its rhetoric and behavior are the same and true.”

The Lebanese cleric further stated that Iran is very different from the past, and added,” When that true promise that was made by the senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran came down on the Zionist regime with as much force and power as possible, without asking other allies and the evil partners of the child-killing Zionist regime, if a mistake is made, it is a sign of a powerful Islamic system not only in the Middle East but also in the whole world.”

The vice-chairman of The Supreme Islamic Shi'a Council of Lebanon went on to say that Iran's response to the Zionist regime's attack on its consulate in Damascus was Iran’s legitimate right. This response proved that Iran is a powerful country and does not pay ransom and does not neglect its rights and defends the dignity of its people and its national sovereignty with pride and strength, even if it leads to a lot of sacrifice.

While condemning the open support of arrogant countries to the Zionist regime, he stated,” their behavior leads to encouraging this regime to massacre, kill and displace Palestinians, who are therefore complicit in the crimes of the Israeli regime.”

Expressing that the Zionist regime was an unfamiliar entity in this region and has no future here, Sheikh Khatib added,” I hope they have learned a lesson.”

At the end of this meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between The Supreme Islamic Shi'a Council of Lebanon and the Management Center of Seminaries to expand their cooperation.
